Christmas 2007 - Miramar ASL Branch
Christmas 2007 was spent in the mission field serving in the Miramar ASL Branch, in Hollywood Florida. We wanted to do something really different for Christmas so we visited with our children about using their Christmas money and use it to serve our Branch. They were all so agreeable, and many even contributed. We planned and prepared a large Christmas dinner, with turkey and ham and all the trimmings. We put together a fruit and veggie box for each member (and several visitors as well) along with some Christmas candies and goodies, and for those who needed extra help with Christmas, Pres. Smith had an envelope for them. After dinner we did our Branch small gifts exchange. It was so much fun to see them all so happy. Spending Christmas away from our family was hard, but it was such a special Christmas spent with our Branch and being able to serve them in that way. We did have a special guest from Utah with us and that really made us happy, thanks JoAnn for spending the day with us. :) Our newest member (Stacy - baptised in Oct) was asked to put on the Christmas Program .... it was simple but wonderful. I was so proud of her.
